“Sometimes I choose what I like.
For example:
I choose to like washing the toilet.
And then I do.”

I have received a surprising amount of positive feedback on the writings in my FB and IG stories.
Decision to like things you do is an interesting subject. Freedom from like and dislike (see Robert Fripp and the Guitar Craft Aphorisms) might bring about the possibility for consciously decided liking of an activity you (read body and ego) would otherwise dislike or feel uncomfortable with. We might call consciously decided liking 'DIRECTED LIKING'.
I like to ask: What would it take for/from me to have my life in order and the things in it good for me?
The body tends to 'like' things that are comfortable and instantly gratifying. The ego tends to gravitate towards anything with which it can grab your attention. (For example an ideology.) So, with the 'directed liking' we perhaps choose to like things that are good for us.
This is us choosing for ourselves.
So, what kind of difference would this make? How would we feel when washing the dishes, going to work or speaking to our loved ones if we consciously decided this is something we like?
There are also two avenues we might explore from here:
1. We get better at doing things we don't like.
2. We get better at doing things that are good for others or someone other.

close indeed...
