Who is Lauri?

Lauri “Laxa” Peltonen is a Finnish multidisciplinary artist who has worked in many fields of art. He is best known for being a guitar virtuoso and a dancer, those two often going hand in hand in various kinds of performances, but he has also worked in experimental film, music videos, as an actor both in front of a camera and in theatre, physical comedian, sound designer both in theatre and short films, visual arts, Finnish rap, improv theatre, Commedia dell’ arte and the list goes on... 

As a guitar player Peltonen has worked in theater productions and multiple contemporary dance productions like Oneiros Resort. He also played lead guitar in Vantaan Näyttämö ‘s musical Vuonna 85.
Lauri has done some pioneer work in Finland with the New Standard Tuning for guitar, being one of the few guitarists in Finland who uses the tuning actively in live performances and recordings.
