“It’s difficult to explain where these come from. I can spend hours working without breaks in between. I am fascinated by the idea of the artwork being like a mirror. We may be looking at it but it’s also looking back at us. But who is looking at who here? The observer and the observed blend together.
I would say that, more accurately, the person looking at the artwork is actually looking at themselves through the artwork. Or perhaps the artwork is looking at itself through the eyes of the viewer.”

This video shows differents stages of the process. You can see how I began the works from (graffiti) tagging layered on top of each other. When I write texts layered like that, I create random visual forms that I can then find in the process. So, in a way the process is linguistic in its origin. There’s also a lot of randomness: sometimes I even close my eyes or draw with the other hand.
